By semi-popular demand, as a follow-up to my last post: my *she’s got Sharmila eyes* effort.

(Sorry for the bad computer photo but Gemma can’t take pictures—it’s that old opposable thumbs issue again.)
Being as that I brought in the New Year with Abbott & Costello and Lee Van Cleef and Gina Lollobrigida instead of Hindi movies, all I have to offer today is this lovely 1973 saree ad, courtesy of Sharmila and Bombay Dyeing. More soul-stirring synthetics! How I love them.

Here’s what Stardust had to contribute about Dharmatma. This was in 2003 1973; the film didn’t come out until 2005 (yes, too much wine at New Year’s) 1975—and I have to say that I did notice some Feroz age continuity issues while I was watching it, although they didn’t affect my feelings for the film. But in any case, I hope the Bush-kashi is more horse-friendly than it looked!

Another *Best Present Ever* awaited me on Christmas day: the 1973 Stardust Annual, and a copy of the June 1972 Stardust magazine. I have an awesome brother and sister-in-law: they indulge my obsession even though they privately think I am crazy. (This is actually true of all my friends and family.) Love them!

Reader Shaila pointed out yesterday that I have neglected Parveen Babi here at MemsaabStory (Bullet being her only featured film).
Egregious oversight!
Here is a photo of her from the 1973 Star & Style Annual (she’s up and coming, they say!):
Doesn’t she look sooooo young? Reminds me a little of Ali MacGraw in Love Story. I will try to do better on the Parveen front.
