American politics meet Indian film

If you are one of the two or three people who have not seen it yet, first watch the Crazy Indian Video…Buffalaxed!* video on YouTube.

And then watch the “Sarah Palin and John McCain” version at Funny or Die.

Enjoy! or be very very scared. You decide.

*Song is “Kalluri Vaanil” from the Tamil film Pennin Manathai Thottu starring Prabhu Deva and Jaya Sheel

The Buffalaxed video makes me laugh helplessly until I cry…but Sarah Palin and John McCain make me want to cry for other reasons…

You are welcome, ts :) Hey, your blog makes my mouth water! If I ever decide that I’m not too lazy to cook Indian food (or any food, to be honest), I’ll be there bookmarking all your recipes!

Bunny Lava for President. He can’t do a worse job than Failin’

Poor Prabhu Deva—apparently he’s now known much more widely as Benny Lava! Oh the wonders (if not joys) of the internet…

I would certainly choose him over McCain/Palin!

This is hilarious! But what is the Palin-McCain video about – are they auditioning for Bollywood? ;-) Without the requisite star-pedigree they can only become back-up dancers!

Hmmm…I think with their singing/dancing skills they can only become silent, unmoving extras!

I always liked this takeoff on that video:

(From Youtube description: “An office comedy about two co-workers and their concern over all the outsourcing at their company….This video was inspired by Kalluri vaanil, ‘Crazy Indian Video’.”)

Oy! It’s painful to watch Americans try to reproduce Indian dance moves! :-)
